Indications/Uses

Hyponatremia. Replacement of Na &/or Cl lost from the body. Metabolic alkalosis. Solvent for drugs given by IV infusion.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Individualized dosage.

Contraindications

Hypernatremia, hyperchloremia.

Special Precautions

Not for parenteral use. Discontinue irrigation process if large quantity of fluid is absorbed into the blood circulation.

Adverse Reactions

Febrile response, abscess, tissue necrosis or inj site infection, venous thrombosis or hypervolemia, post-op salt intolerance symptoms.
